I brought my macbook pro in an emergency after spilling liquid on the keyboard. I do everything on my Mac, but it's mostly my work tool. I wasn't sure whether to buy a new computer or to have it fixed, but Alex assured me he could fix it and if there were any issues, I'd have 90 days to bring it back. It seems like at first I would have to wait 2 weeks to get it repaired, but it only took a few days. It has been 3 weeks since it was fixed and so far, no issues. I had a not-that-old gaming PC experiencing sudden, random restarts for more than a year. After exhausting all efforts to fix the problem, including paying Micro Center $45 for them to tell me they couldn't do anything, I decided to try an indie shop.
No appointment needed. I just brought my desktop to this little place and was told to jot down my contact info and a brief description of the problem. That was it. It took not 24 hours to get a phone call from the guy who informed me that my PC was essentially a dud, and that I'd be better off buying a new computer. Obviously not the answer I wanted to hear, but I appreciated his honesty. No charge for the assessment; no attempt to convince me to spend hundreds of dollars for replacement parts. Just the plain, hard truth (something all-too-lacking in America today). His parting advice was to go for an Intel processor instead of AMD next time.

My macbook air wouldn't turn on due to water damage in April. I kept it and didn't bother taking it to a tech specialist due to covid-19 pandemic. I am a teacher so I bought a new macbook pro to replace it while wfh.
My brother gave me a list of places to call and this place got great reviews. I called and spoke to Dave. He told me to bring it in, which I did on the same day I called on Tuesday. I wrote down my contact number and what would I like to do with it.
A day later he text messaged me the price on fixing it, transferring the data to external storage, price I would get if they bought it from me, the price I would get for selling it to somebody else.
I decided to pay $275 to fix my macbook air. He offered a 90 day warranty and he wanted a cash payment. It was ready to be picked up 2 days after. I was impressed by their quick service. I hope my laptop lasts because I always need a back up device as a teacher.

This is a very reliable business with great service. I recently brought in my Lenovo x1 that stopped charging due to water spilled into the thunderbolt port. Although the initial repair didn't completely fix the issue, David was very patient and responsible. He took my laptop back and looked into the issue again. He then ordered additional parts without charging me anything extra and ultimately resolved all issues. I found this gem of a store when I was looking to get my laptop fixed. I had issues with it booting up and I had called the manufacturer for a diagnosis. Unfortunately, my warranty was up about a month before my computer started to have issues so they suggested I go through their services which was a bit too complicated and uncomfortable for me to go through. I had some trust issues when it came to letting others fix my electronics because of some bad experiences in the past but this store was closest to where I lived and had good reviews.
The owner was professional from the beginning and knew what was wrong with it right away. The laptop had a malfunctioning hard drive and he told me in layman's terms that manufacturer's usually install cheaper or weak hard drives so that it typically dies within the year and we'd have to get new ones. I had purchased the laptop in 2018 and had issues with it in 2019, so that definitely seemed about right.
The price was extremely fair and it was a lot less than what the manufacturer had told me. He suggested that I get an upgraded hard drive with more storage but wasn't pushy about it. He laid out all of the pros and cons and clearly laid out the prices for the regular fix and and upgraded fix. I ended up getting the upgraded hard drive and I haven't regretted that decision ever since. My computer is faster than before and he graciously added additional programs such as openoffice and 7zip, which I am extremely grateful for. He assured me that if there are any issues after I take it home, that I can bring it back and he'll figure out and fix those problems free of charge. That just showed me that he was extremely confident in his work. Service was very fast and it's clear that he knew what he was doing.

Very honest place!!! Honesty is the best policy! David explained to me my options on how he could repair my old 2012 Macbook Pro. He also gave his expert honest opinion on which options would be better for me since my laptop is an older model.
I really appreciated his customer service skills and the way he always updated me on the status of my laptop while it was being repaired.

Service by David was great. Just a tad impatient. Went in for keyboard replacement on my very difficult to repair just over one year old Acer laptop. Received parts quickly. When I went home, my laptop would not charge. David fixed it for no charge and worked overtime after issue was found to be on motherboard and not battery, charger, and charging port. Highly recommended computer repair shop. Like all the reviews said, David is a stand up guy, brought my 10 yr+ old Sony vaio laptop in, he analyzed it and told me he could fix it for about $250, but honestly wasn't worth fixing a i5 first gen laptop with motherboard issues. He even recommended certain other replacement laptops I could buy and as a cheaper alternative buy the base model and he could upgrade the hard drive for cheaper then sales cost on websites/stores. Amazing service!! I walked in with my ancient hard drive that was crashing consistently and I was so scared I would lose all my pictures and documents. They had it running within three days & even gave me a storage device where I can store all of my saved documents and pictures!! They're bilingual in English and Spanish, super sweet, and they definitely know what they're working with. The pricing is amazingly affordable and 10x cheaper than Best Buy or Staples. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in the NYC area who needs their computer repaired at a reasonable price and done efficiently and with care. I had an issue with my dell laptop not turning on and was given a free diagnostic and was also told that if the issue could not be fixed it would be free of charge. Turns out the repairs on my laptop would cost more than a replacement so I opted to have him back up my files on an external hard drive. David is extremely knowledgeable in what he is doing and cares more about fixing your laptop than making a quick buck. My laptop died about a year ago. RIP. When I turned it on, no flicker, nothing, just a black screen. I could hear the hard drive spinning and knew it was hardware related and not software.
But last week I needed files that I remembered was on there. I was in panick mode and luckily a google search pointed me to the Yelp reviews for this place.
I brought the laptop in the morning and told them that I needed the files asap. An hour later, they called me and told me that the mother board was shorted, but, they could recover my files from my dual boot system Linux and Windows). I brought them my seagate usb drive and in another three hours I had my data. It would have cost 200 dollars to replace the mother board on a 3 year old $250 laptop, so, no brainer. Cost of file recovery was $65. Very grateful, so, gave them $80.
They gave me my laptop hard drive back so that I can smash it and magnetize to ensure my data can't be stolen. I feel very confident that they handled my data confidentiality, meaning no spying and no copying for nefarious purposes.

I have 3 years old MacBook Air laptop , I use this laptop for my work and school everyday. Last week I spilled coffee on keyboard , I turned upside down, I put some rice ... Still can not power on . I went to Apple Store at manhasset , they quoted me $750 , it will take 2-4 weeks to fix . The person at Apple Store keep asking me to buy a new one... I remember my cousin fixed his dell laptop for $40 in the same day at computer store in flushing , I went there two days ago, they were efficient and very reasonable with price (about one third of Apple Store charge) , I got my laptop back with in two days , all my pictures and documents are saved , a lot less than Apple Store price. I found this little store through a friend's recommendation after my iPhone's screen cracked. I have an iphone 6 and it cracked through the side and branched out into an artistic tree shape, but sadly, the whole screen needed a replacement. I got there a little past 6 pm on Friday and David was helping another customer at the time. By the time it's my turn, it's like 6:15 pm and the store usually closed at 6:30 pm. David took a quick a look at my phone and quote me the price to replace the screen, and I asked how long it will take (or did I need to come back to pick it up), and he said about 30 min. He didn't even bother to mention that he stayed after closing time. So I went near by to check out some Asian bakeries and a supermarket at the meantime.
By the time I am back (about 15 min passing their closing time), my phone is fixed. David even took time to tell me what kind of case to get and what kind of screen protector to get to protect the screen and offered a really good deal for the screen protector and informed me about the warranty information. Excellent custom service and no extra charge for the express repair, too. The guys replaced a cracked glass on my macbook pro for much less than it would cost at an Apple store. However they didn't tell me that the rubber piece around the glass would look slightly uneven and tempered with.
They did own up to their mistake and reduced the price oto make up for it, which is why I left satisfied.
Had they been upfront about the potential damage that may occur I would have rated them 5 stars.
